The Process
Each client's project is unique and implemented with careful thought, intention, and care. I am not just your website designer, but also your project manager to help us cross the finish line and ensure for a smooth and enjoyable experience. After all, I believe creativity is supposed to be fun, and I want my clients to enjoy the journey along the way! Learn more about my process below from the initial consultation to the go-live date.

How it Works
After our free Discovery Call and signing your Website Design Services Agreement, we will schedule a Website Kick-Off Call to learn more about your business goals and design preferences. By the end of the call we will have developed a project scope of work and timeline, then we move forward with gathering content, and building your site.
Kick-Off Call
We will schedule a one-hour call via Zoom to discuss your goals and design preferences. From there, we will develop a scope of work, finalize the list of materials needed, and establish a timeline.
Gather Content
After our Kick-Off Call, we will move into the Gathering Content phase where you will collect the items needed for me to build and design your website. This may include your logo, domain information, written content, contact information, photos, and any other information you would like to see on your site.
Design & Build
After I receive the content from you by the deadline, I can start designing and building your new site.
Deliver Your Preview Site
After I design and build your site, I will send you a preview version for you to review.
Review and Revise
You will have the opportunity to review your site and provide feedback on what you would like to see changed. This phase includes up to two rounds of revisions within your project scope of work.
Send Your Final Approval
After the revisions are completed, we will have a final review call and then you will send your final approval for me to take the site live!
Go-live!
After I receive your final approval, I will connect your domain to take your site live!
FAQ
-
What do I need to provide during the web design process?
It depends on what you are looking for to be showcased on the site!
The first and foremost is to register a domain if you do not yet have one. A domain is essentially the name that identifies a website on the internet, and makes it much easier to remember than the IP address that it actually is (a long string of numbers).
Other typical materials include photos and copy. We will discuss more in depth during our Kick-Off Call!
-
Do you work by the hour or just by website project?
My website design services are offered as a fixed onboarding fee. Check out my website tiers to find the best fit for you and reach out to me with any questions!
-
Where should I register a domain name?
There are various third-party domain registrars out there that make it simple to search and register one. For example, previous clients have found GoDaddy to be a great domain registrar.
Please note that recommendations do not equate to affiliation. While I am happy to consult through the domain registration process, it is ultimately the client’s responsibility to do their own research on finding the domain registrar and domain name that is the best fit for them.
-
Do you host the site on an ongoing basis?
While I design and build your site on my website dashboard, clients are required to create an account with the website builder of which the website will be transferred to upon going live. Clients are responsible for hosting their site upon going live.
-
How long will it take to complete my website from start to finish?
Typically, website projects can take approximately 4-6 weeks.
-
How many rounds of revisions do I get?
Each website project includes up to two rounds of revisions.
-
What if I want more rounds of revisions?
Additional rounds of revisions can be requested after the site goes live and completed on a new timeline and on a paid hourly basis.
-
What if I want to add more pages?
Additional pages beyond the Project Scope can be added after the website is live at $200/page.
-
Will my website be secure with an SSL certificate?
Yes! An SSL certificate will be generated for each website project upon going live, and at no additional cost.
-
I’ve seen an accessibility widget on other websites; will mine include that as well?
I can add an accessibility widget at the recurring monthly cost of $10, which clients are responsible to pay within their own website builder account.
